Worship Leaders
Worship leaders, besides the pastors, include: acolytes, ushers, greeters, assistant ministers, and communion assistants.
Acolytes - Serve as an assistant to the pastors. They light the candles before worship, collect the offering from the ushers, serve communion, and assist with baptisms.
Assistant Minister’s - Have two main duties: reading the scripture during worship and leading the prayers. Assistant minister's also help serve communion. Reading and praying may be shared among two people.
Communion Assistant - Does exactly that: help serve communion by holding one of the chalices.
Greeters - Stand at the entrances and welcome people as they come to worship.
Ushers - Welcome people in the sanctuary, provide bulletins, collect the offering, and usher people to communion.
If you feel so called to serve as a leader in worship, you are invited to sign up on Sundays, call the church office, or talk to one of the pastors.
